ROYAL OAK & SOUTHERN RR

Stanley R. Knotts Jr., the president of the Royal Oak & Southern RR, has been feeding us with information on the rubber industry that will one day be the 'raison d'etre' for the CGW. A lot of moves have postponed the actual construction by a decade or so... Stan is the editor of Lineside, the publication of the NMRA Railroad Industries Special Interest Group. He also has been very helpful in obtaining a lot of parts for our tenderloco nr. 18. We also exchanged cars, or rather decals. Stan has a boxcar lettered for the CGW and the CGW has a RO&S hopper and a reefer lettered for the Troll & Elfin, the famous RR of Stan's father.
